Itinerary

  Gangtok to Lachen

  Your journey begins with a morning pickup from Gangtok between 9:00 AM and 10:00 AM. As you drive towards North Sikkim, the route offers breathtaking views of mountains, rivers, and waterfalls. En route, you will stop at the beautiful Seven Sisters Waterfalls and the scenic Chungthang, where the Lachen Chu and Lachung Chu rivers meet.

  Continuing through the rugged Himalayan terrain, you will reach Lachen by evening. After check-in at your hotel or homestay, you can relax and acclimatize to the high altitude. Dinner will be served early, followed by an overnight stay in Lachen.

  Lachen – Gurudongmar Lake – Lachung

  The second day starts early in the morning, around 4:00 AM, as you head towards the breathtaking Gurudongmar Lake, located at an altitude of approximately 17,800 feet. The drive passes through Thangu Valley and offers spectacular views of snow-covered mountains.

  Upon reaching the lake, you will witness its crystal-clear turquoise waters surrounded by snow peaks, creating a truly unforgettable experience. After spending some time at the lake, return to Lachen for breakfast and then proceed towards Lachung.

  The scenic drive to Lachung offers stunning views of waterfalls and valleys. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel, relax, and enjoy dinner. Overnight stay in Lachung.

  Lachung – Yumthang Valley – Optional Zero Point

  After breakfast, you will proceed to the beautiful Yumthang Valley, also known as the Valley of Flowers. Surrounded by mountains and rivers, this valley is famous for its seasonal blooms and snow-covered landscapes.

  You may also opt to visit Zero Point (Yumesamdong), located at a higher altitude and known for its year-round snow (additional charges apply). After sightseeing, return to Lachung and spend the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay in Lachung.

  Lachung to Gangtok

  After breakfast, begin your return journey to Gangtok. The drive once again offers scenic views of mountains, rivers, and waterfalls. You will reach Gangtok by late afternoon or evening, marking the end of your North Sikkim tour.
